The festive season is the perfect time for a little indulgence, celebration, and showing your loved ones that you care. Of course nothing says ‘love’ like home-baked goodies. We want to ensure your efforts are appreciated, so this course will show you how to perfect some festive favourites with a mix of demonstration and hands-on baking. Learn how to prepare a tender, sweet shortcrust pastry, baked until golden and crumbly, along with a home-made fruit mince filling to enjoy the best mini fruit mince pies ever! And what about chocolates as personal Christmas gifts for family, colleagues, neighbours and friends? You’ll also get to enjoy a summer fruit pavlova as well as your delicious treats at a social sit-down afternoon tea, then take home your leftovers!

delicious baking
Brigit Marx

German born pastry chef Brigit takes pride in her authentic homemade pastries, combining her love and passion for baking with premium ingredients.

It was a logical next step to develop from her beginnings, baking for family and friends, to starting her own business in the Eastern Suburbs, which she calls home since 2004. Sugarplum Bakery has grown in popularity since its beginning in 2010. From birthday cakes to small corporate functions, lunches, high teas, waffle party events and event cake stalls, everything is possible. In her attempt of sharing her love for baking, Brigit has recently started teaching baking classes, showing people how easy and fun it can be to bake your own cakes.
