Dragon boating is an energetic water sport, and a great way to work out and get fit while having fun and meeting new people on the waters of beautiful Sydney Harbour. If you want to get on the water, be part of a social group and work on your fitness levels then come and give dragon boating a go.
This 3 week taster course will give you the opportunity to join a team of 20 paddlers on a dragon boat and learn the basics of the sport. You will learn to engage muscles in different parts of your body, timing with the rest of the team and a range of dragon boat paddle strokes and calls. Putting all this together you will experience the excitement of racing with your team against another boat.
Dragon Boat racing is one of the fastest growing team sports in Australia that allows almost everyone to get involved all that is required is a sense of fun, being part of a team and the motivation to get fit or even fitter!
