Did you know that profiteroles make excellent accompaniments to red wine? They are not just delicious for dessert with cream and chocolate but are also great as a savoury entree! Think grated cheddar or parmesan in the pastry and a light cream cheese and herb, or salmon dip filling inside. Give them a sprinkle with sesame, cumin or poppy seeds and you have a delicious little treat to impress your guests with pre-dinner drinks. Improve your piping skills or go the easy way with rustic cheese puffs, just dropped on the baking tray, no piping required. And for those who can't do without dessert, we'll finish the class with some sweet coffee cream profiteroles.

Materials

Please bring an apron and tea towel.

Fee includes recipes, ingredients, piping bag and you’ll be taking home your own choux puffs to share (or not)

Brigit Marx

German born pastry chef Brigit takes pride in her authentic homemade pastries, combining her love and passion for baking with premium ingredients.

It was a logical next step to develop from her beginnings, baking for family and friends, to starting her own business in the Eastern Suburbs, which she calls home since 2004. Sugarplum Bakery has grown in popularity since its beginning in 2010. From birthday cakes to small corporate functions, lunches, high teas, waffle party events and event cake stalls, everything is possible. In her attempt of sharing her love for baking, Brigit has recently started teaching baking classes, showing people how easy and fun it can be to bake your own cakes.
