Have you always wanted to write, and write well? This fun single-day workshop is designed for all levels and ages, taking you through elements of structure, character and setting at your own pace. You will leave this class feeling renewed and confident in your writing abilities, and keen to apply what you’ve learnt to your own projects. No matter what your preferred writing genre or stage, this workshop will improve and stimulate the way you write.

Are you a complete beginner? You'll discover how to get started in a friendly supportive atmosphere. Are you at an intermediate level? This workshop will expand your skills and develop your writer's voice. Are you a fully fledged writer? Your tutor is a Ditmar Award-winning author who can fuel your creativity and challenge you!

Explore your individual writing style and discover what’s needed to develop it further. All this and more in a full day of writing exercises and fun!

About the presenter

Zena Shapter is a Ditmar award-winning author, creative writing tutor and mentor, freelance editor, copywriter and social media consultant. She has won ten national writing competitions and is published in magazines such as "Midnight Echo" and anthologies such as "Award-Winning Australian Writing". She writes close-to-reality books of the unexplained and adventures that get you thinking. She also founded and leads the widely attended Northern Beaches Writers' Group, whose collaborative writing has also won multiple awards. Read her through the links on her website at
